About

While drawing has always been the foundation of all my artistic endeavours, my mediums have evolved over time to include watercolour, pastel, oil and acrylic. My paintings have also shown in various exhibitions and juried shows through the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Pastel Society of Canada.

In the past five years I’ve become passionate – although my husband might say addicted – to working with clay. Experimenting with hand building pieces and honing my skills on the potters wheel has become my primary focus of late. Although I’m not painting quite as much these days, my years of painting experience lends well to glazing. The plain and embossed ceramic surfaces have become another canvas to reflect my interest in colour experimentation, portraits, landscapes and florals.

I feel very fortunate to be able to spend my time creating art. As long as the ideas continue to form and inspire me, you’ll likely find me painting and potting in my studio. My art is available for sale and has been purchased by private and corporate clients throughout North America, as well as South Africa, Australia, China and the United Kingdom. Please contact me to inquire about a piece, or request a commission.

My interest in all areas of art began early. By five years of age drawing faces and creating collages using pictures from magazines and catalogues were favourite pastimes.
